Hello! Welcome to my site. Right off the bat, you'll notice it doesn't have fancy graphics or AI bots trying to psychoanalyze you. I've always hated those dense front-end frameworks that torture developers into the depths of hell. Every month, there's some new fad framework that's horrible to scale, maintain, and use… and now AI has evolved to add to the mess.
So I figured I'd save myself the time screaming at 1,000-line stack traces by replicating something from 1996 — back when websites were fast and didn't require a PhD in Node. I decided to keep my site simple: plain ol' vanilla JS, HTML, and CSS. :)
I graduated summa cum laude from The University of Georgia with a degree in Computer Science (Yes, I know how to code and write SQL queries that don't take down production... so far).
I'm currently a Software Engineer @ McKesson, working on neat healthcare solutions for the 340B program. Previously, I was a Consultant @ Deloitte, where I collaborated with top banking executives across large institutions, de-novo banks, and fintechs focused on disruptive innovation. During that time, I developed deep expertise in building & integrating cutting-edge core banking products.
Outside of code, I'm a commercial aviation nerd. I built a small 737 simulator rig at home, where I run MSFS 2024 and work my way towards becoming a pilot. Yes, it has working switches. No, I haven't tried flying it on VATSIM… yet. I'm one of the few people you'll meet that's happy to be stuck at the airport.
I also enjoy outdoor activities; I dabble a bit in ultimate frisbee and running, though my pace is best described as 'motivated sloth'.
Linked below is my GitHub. There was a time when I had enough caffeine intake to spin up side projects. Along with my friends who are equally allergic to sleep, we've won hackathons and awards for our projects. I'm really proud of some of the things I've worked on in the past few years.
